This privacy policy describes how we at Seita Technologies Oy ("Seitatech") process the personal data of our customers, potential customers and other partners; e.g. how we process personal data, for what purposes we use the data and to which parties the data can be disclosed.

Seitatech protects the privacy of data subjects and complies with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679) and other applicable data protection legislation and good data processing practices in all processing of personal data.

This privacy statement also applies to e.g. For the processing of personal data collected through the www.seitatech.fi website, other Seitatech online services, marketing, contacts and events.

Personal data refers to all data concerning a natural person from which he can be directly or indirectly identified, as defined in the data protection regulation.

Our website may contain links to websites/websites and services operated by other organizations and not controlled by us. 1 Processing of personal data

We mainly process personal data related to our business and customer relationships. Personal data is processed e.g. for the following purposes:

  • for ordering and producing services;
  • to manage the customer relationship;
  • for service maintenance, development and quality assurance;
  • for business planning and product development;
  • for marketing and targeting of marketing to customers and potential customers;
  • to ensure the security of the services and to prevent and investigate abuses;
  • to fulfill statutory obligations; and
  • for risk management and prevention of abuses.

We only collect personal data that is relevant and necessary for the purpose of use.

We mainly process the following personal data:

  • Name and contact information (email address, address, phone number), employer information, position in the organization;
  • Information you provide when you register for our event or training;
  • Your identification and background information that you have provided to us or that we have collected pursuant to Finnish legislation (such as money laundering legislation);
  • Personal information that we have received from our customers, partners, employees; and
  • Other personal information you have provided to Seita.

2 Basics of personal data processing

The basis for the processing is basically Seitatech's legitimate interest. The processing is also based on our statutory obligations, such as accounting obligations, statutory reporting obligations, the obligation to take care of data security and protection, risk management and customer-knowing obligations such as preventing abuse.

We collect personal data at the beginning of the customer relationship and during its duration, for newsletter subscriptions, event registrations, opinion polls, monitoring and optimization of website usage, and so that we can respond to contact requests. In addition, we process personal data to manage the events we organize with Seitatech and its potential partners.

The purpose of the processing may also be the planning and development of our business, marketing, maintenance and development of services, quality assurance, direct marketing and opinion and market research, in which case the processing is based on our legitimate interest to inform about our business and develop our business, and thereby to offer users of our services an even better service.

3 Retention of personal data

We keep personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes defined in the data protection statement, unless the legislation obliges us to keep personal data longer (for example, responsibilities and obligations related to special legislation, accounting obligations or reporting obligations), or unless Seitatech needs the information to prepare, present or defend against a legal claim or to resolve a similar disagreement situation.

The data retention period and retention criteria vary by personal data group and according to the purpose of a particular personal data group.

4 Disclosure of personal data

Information is not regularly disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes. In special cases, personal data can be disclosed to the authorities in situations required and justified by legislation.

If Seitatech is involved in a merger, business transaction or other business arrangement, it may have to hand over personal data of registered users to third parties. The data protection of the data subject is also protected in in the arrangements, and the data subject will be notified of them appropriately if necessary.

If personal data is transferred outside the European Union or the European Economic Area (for example, if the customer relationship so requires), Seitatech ensures an adequate level of personal data protection, e.g.

by agreeing on matters related to the processing of personal data in the manner required by data protection legislation, such as using model contract clauses approved by the European Commission.

5 Security of personal data processing

We process personal data in a way that ensures the appropriate security of the personal data we hold, including protection against unauthorized processing and accidental loss, destruction or damage.

We use appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to secure this, including the use of firewalls, encryption technologies, secure device rooms, appropriate access control and access management, instructing personnel and subcontractors involved in the processing of personal data.

Based on the Employment Contracts Act and the confidentiality clauses of contracts, all entities that process personal data have a duty of confidentiality regarding matters related to the processing of registered personal data.

6 Rights of data subjects

The registrant has the right, e.g.:

  • request a copy of the personal data we process about the data subject;
  • request correction of incorrect or inaccurate information;
  • request the deletion of their data;
  • request the restriction of the processing of personal data;
  • object to the use of data for certain types of processing;
  • prohibits the disclosure and processing of their data for direct marketing;
  • and file a complaint with the supervisory authority.

The exercise of rights may be subject to conditions or restrictions. For example, obtaining and deleting data is not possible in all situations.

7 Cookies

We monitor the traffic of the www.seitatech.fi website using cookies. Here we use the Google Analytics program (Google Inc.) to help. Your browser automatically sends certain information to Google, such as the address of the opened web page or the search term through which the user was directed from the Google search engine to Seitatech's website.

By tracking website traffic, we develop our website to make it even better and to be able to provide users with a better visiting experience. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about you and you can learn more about this on the Google website.

We also use other third-party services on our website, and thus their cookies, so that the content of our website can be shared on social media. The service providers are Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

8 Changes

This Privacy Statement was updated in October 2023.

We are constantly developing our services, and as a result, we may have to change and update this privacy policy as necessary. The changes may also be based on changes in the legislation on data protection.
